Did nobody else take wisdom from fables?
Looking at how people behave, it's as if Aesop never wrote a word. So here I've recast it onto something more modern to make the picture clearer....
What "Available-Dentist" is noticing is his own absence of Values (in the axiological sense). The robots will not pinch-hit for your own responsibility to impose values on the code you are no longer writing.
My problem with vibe coding is that it allows people without a curated sense of what to value in computer programs (nor the patience to develop it) to fake it, and thus get the results distributed for others (who know no better) to accept the risk. They represent the lazy apprentice who has borrowed the mage's tools and used them without discipline.
The people who say AI will replace software engineers can't use a keyboard any more complicated than this:
